I have a rant.
I live in old town and over the past few years watched this lovely area ( as well as tourist area) of puerto vallarta turn from a Mexican beauty spot into a new miami or cancun.
There have been some ugly new buildings put up in the way of high rise concrete condos that do not blend into the area.
Sewage back ups during rainy season is worse than ever. Condo complexes built with not sufficiant sewage piping so raw sewage goes out onto los muertos beach.
Nasty. Then theres the weekend sun seekers from guadalajara who pee in the streets. so our streets are a sewage/urine aroma year round.
Not only this but those of us who live in this area, do not own cars. we like to walk in our part of town.
Other than the ridiculasly priced and very limited shopping of rizzos grocery, we NEED a decent grocery store that we can ealk to and buy our groceries.
Now we do not even have a movie theatre and some of us need to catch 2 busses to get to see a movie. ffs
Soon we are going to lose the tourists here as we are not keeping upo with peoples needs. Not just the tourists to think of but people actually do live here and need services too.
Now thats a rant!
