Casa de Rita, is a lovely-Mexican style house with a cottage. It is located on Calle Asia, a quiet, tree-lined street in town, 3 blocks from the beach. Casa de Rita is newly built, original art, private patio and balconies. It comfortably sleeps 4-6 people, though is not appropriate for very small children. Unfortunately we cannot take pets.

Main house is two stories. Upstairs is a large open room with a separate sitting area and a double bed (or separates into two twin beds). Downstairs is an open room, with TV, DVD, stereo, a fully furnished kitchen with microwave, toaster, large refrigerator and a large open window to the patio. The main house has one bathroom, balconies and front patio. Lots of light, several fans, beautifully furnished. Fun, Mexican-style outdoor shower.

Back cottage has two single beds, air conditioning, full bath/shower. French doors and lots of light. The house and cottage are separated by a lush "container garden" and new outdoor furniture.

Casa de Rita is within 5 minutes walking distance to beach, and next to all restaurants, cafes, shops and fabulous cappuccino. Local, English-speaking property manager available to assist with necessities. Fees includes cleaning and utilities. Two-night minimum. More photos available upon request.

From bedroom door to beachfront is about 100 yards through a secure beachfront gate. The ceilings in the living area and both master suits peak at about 24 feet making this a grand and spacious living space. It has central air conditioning and a fireplace in the living room. All the doors are 10 feet tall.

Both master suites are elegantly appointed with new pillow-top mattresses and fine imported bed linens. Each master suite has a door to an outside terrace from the bedroom, as well as a large private bathroom. Each suite has ample closet space, plus desk space with telephone and Internet connection in each suite.

The common area includes a spacious living area, an elegant entry foyer, and more than gully furnished kitchen. Every room is fully decorated with original works of fine art, and generations of collectables of a nautical theme. The living room has two sofas and several sitting chairs, a recliner and a secretary which includes a stereo and satellite television for programs in English.

The kitchen is my personal favorite! It is long and narrow; I�m sure similar to the galley on the owners 87' yacht. It is totally retro 70�s state of the art with stainless steel and butcher block counter tops. I counted 4 refrigerators, 3 ovens, a new 6-burner gas stove, plus a 2-burner electric stove with a griddle. All in perfect working order. The kitchen includes 2 or 3 complete sets of china and silverware, and the crystal collection in this home is stunning. This home was built and used for decades of entertaining!

This casita is private gated beachfront directly on the �golden zone� where the sand is actually gold colored. The ocean is warm and gentle, unlike the rough seas in Puerto Vallarta, and there are fewer tourists and vendors on this beach in Mazatlan. Daily air service PVR-MZT for $83 in a small 12-seat airplane takes 1 hour Aero Calafia.

The rental price includes all utilities; cable TV, Internet and maid service daily. The owners driver of 30+ years speaks English can greet you upon arrival at the airport upon arrival, however ground transportation is additional $80 round-trip in a large Suburban.
